We are looking for inspection and testing specialists to ensure the highest level of quality for our low and medium voltage circuit breakers and switchgear. Under the supervision of the inspection and testing manager, we have positions in our Lachine and Sherbrooke plants.
The challenges
- Coordinate testing according to schedule
- Carry out the final inspection of the equipment and identify any non-conformities
- Prepare all the documents necessary for carrying out the tests
- Perform tests according to the standards in force for the project (CSA, IEC or others)
- Perform customer specific tests
- Complete and provide test reports
- Check and understand the annotations to the documents for the “as built” version
- Write specific test reports according to customer criteria
- Submit the problems encountered to the controls and tests responsible for quality and production
- Maintain the equipment necessary for the tests
- Maintain list of measuring instruments, schedule of calibrations and management of devices as required
- Manage CSA plates as needed
- Check the conformity of critical electrical equipment
- Perform visual quality inspection during the manufacturing process
- Provide training to clients (as needed)
- Do various work in the workshop, such as the assembly of electrical cabinets, wiring, technical tests and others
The skills needed
- DEP in electromechanics, training or equivalent experience
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar position
- Good French and a good understanding of English
- Be dynamic with a sense of organization and a good team spirit
- Have interpersonal skills and great ability to communicate orally and in writing
- Have a very good sense of observation
- Pay attention to detail and quality
