QUALITY ASSURANCE AND TESTING SPECIALIST
we are looking for a quality assurance and testing specialist at our Lachine offices.
She/he supports the activities of the quality and testing department, prepares the non-conformity reports and the request for technical tests, can also carry out routine tests on the final product. This is a position with a lot of challenges and potential for advancement. She/he will participate in the management of quality systems as well as improvement activities related to quality assurance, ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices within the company and carry out audits as required.
The Challenges that await you
Investigate quality issues and implement the required corrective actions and actions
Conduct inspection, acceptance testing and acceptance activities at source
Manage the revision activities of materials and components with suppliers (acceptability, recovery)
Participate in the development and maintenance of internal quality plans, projects, and suppliers
Implement quality performance indicators and coordinate/perform audits related to quality and ISO 9001 certification
Conduct quality performance review activities at suppliers and implement corrective measures to achieve objectives
Participate in various quality activities when introducing new products manufactured in the factory or at suppliers
Participate in process improvement projects to achieve the objectives and act as a facilitator in change management
Write reports, procedures, requests for corrective action and other related tasks
Participate in various review or evaluation committees (technologies, suppliers, laboratories, etc.)
Coordinate staff quality assurance activities and provide quality assurance training
May occasionally coordinate material acceptance activities with customers
The necessaty skills
- College or university degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent. (Quality assurance, electrical engineering)
- Minimum of four (4) years in the field including two (2) years of relevant experience in quality assurance
- Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes and measuring instruments
- Leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of MS Office software
- Experience in the field of MV electrical switching devices
- Knowledge of quality tools such as: Kaizen, CSP, path diagram, FMEA, is an asset
- Bilingual (French, English) both orally and in writing
